ANDREJ ZUPANČIČ – KUNG FU & QI GONG
Date and Time: August 17–20, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Andrej is the founder of Body.Mind. Ljubljana, a school dedicated to QiGong and Shaolin KungFu. He integrates movement, breathwork, and mindfulness to cultivate strength, flexibility, and inner balance. Through his teaching, he helps students develop physical vitality, mental clarity, and a deeper connection with themselves. His approach integrates principles of inner harmony and energetic balance, fostering an inclusive learning environment suitable for practitioners of all levels.
In this workshop, the fundamental principles of Qi Gong and traditional Shaolin Kung Fu will be explored. Through guided Qi Gong exercises in the first part, participants will learn how conscious movement, breath control, and focused awareness can strengthen the body, calm the mind, and balance inner energy. The fluid movements of Qi Gong promote relaxation and energy flow, with special attention paid to proper breathing, posture, and vitality. The second part of the class introduces the basics of Shaolin Kung Fu, emphasizing strength, flexibility, and coordination. Through fundamental techniques, forms, and dynamic exercises, participants will learn how to connect physical strength with mental focus and apply the principles learned in everyday life.
MARIN LEMIĆ – BODY COMMUNICATION
Date and Time: August 17–20, 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Marin Lemić was born in Zadar in 1986. In 2008, he enrolled at the Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten – de Theaterschool in the Netherlands, where he graduated in 2011. From 2012 to 2016, he worked at the state national theaters in Oldenburg and Mainz in Germany as part of a contemporary dance company, where he worked with various choreographers such as Ann Van den Broek, Sharon Eyal, Club Guy and Roni, Alessandra Corti, Felix Berner, Sungyop Hong. He currently works as a performer and author on dance projects in Croatia and abroad, with choreographers such as Matija Ferlin, Adrienn Hod, Zrinka Lukčec-Kiko, Marjana Krajač, Jasna Čižmek-Tarbuk, Michael Langeneckert and the Cocoon Dance company. He has been won numerous awards by the professional contemporary dance associations, and in 2020 he was awarded the Croatian Theatre Award for Best Male Performance in the play “Transformers”, which was also nominated for Best Choreographic Achievement. In 2021, he created a full-length performance “Bi-Polar B(e)ar/e”, and in 2022, together with Ida Jolić, signed the authorship of the trilogy “Transformers”.
In the Body Communication workshop, using their own creativity for improvisation, participants will focus on the coordination and mobilization of the spine, joints, head and the entire body in space, finding different textures and qualities. Different rhythmic patterns and articulation will be explored through structured dance sequences, using floorwork. Emphasis is placed on breathing, musicality and awareness of the entire body and finding one’s own freedom and “groove” within “one’s” dancing. In the second part of the workshop, the emphasis will be put on group improcomposition, with the topic of the role of the community, empathy, feeling for each other, belonging, perception of oneself within the community, and the dynamics of relationships. The body is used as a structure of being and we ask ourselves: what spaces arise within relationships? what is communication? what is my “border” in contact with other “borders”? what are all these points of contact, how do they behave? coexistence in the mass, what is my “integrity”?

She is currently working with defendants as well as continuing to teach bodywork.
“The purpose of Klein Technique™ is education, not on the superficial level of mimicking form, but on a profoundly deep level of understanding the full use of the body as an integral whole to maximize full function of each individual´s unique movement potential.”
(2021, Susan T. Klein)The workshop will introduce basic principles of Klein Technique™ as well as deepen the work on the body connections for participants, who have prior experience in Klein Technique™.
