Korina Oltran i Patricia Gospić – ENTER II DIARY

ENTER II DIARY is a performance diptych and the first independent project by Korina Oltran and Patricia Gospić, created out of a need to better understand the digital reality we inhabit.

The first part of the diptych, CTRL ⇧: IID enter log_, performed by Korina Oltran, is a multimedia performance that uses movement to decode the author’s algorithmic everyday life. The accumulation of information and stimuli creates a cacophony and an overstimulating environment, challenging the individual’s ability to maintain focus in the digital world.

Do we consciously choose the content we consume, or does the algorithm do it for us? Do we have control over our own focus, or is our thinking shaped by ever-shortening attention span?

The author seeks answers by examining her own media consumption and sketching her “intimate internet diary” within the performance space.

Seeking a balance between real and virtual identities, the second part of the diptych, CTRL ⇧: log_underworld_, performed by Patricia Gospić, explores the impact of media consumption on the individual. The internet, social networks, and algorithms are viewed as a contemporary underworld, a vast space representing the unconscious aspects of identity, where the repressed and the hidden materialize. This virtual hell/underworld becomes a site of vulnerability and intimacy that the author confronts, questioning the impact of her digital footprint on her identity.

A computer can never be held accountable (IBM, 1979). Yet somehow, my social media posts can (PG, 2026).
